Get married is not a business is a dream!!!!

Hoy estoy un poco frustrada, ando buscando floristeria en Salamanca y la verdad es que los precios me han parecido nada razonables! Si un ramo de 30 rosas en condiciones normales valen 70€, porque un bouquet de rosas vale 140€?? Yo tengo una respuesta clarisima, porque dijisteis que era vuestro ramo de novia!

No me puedo creer que solo por decir la palabra novia o boda se multipliquen por dos los precios, y me niego a pagarlo, asique mi wedding planner + mi familia + mis bridesmaids y yo hemos decido hacer las flores nosotras mismas!

No dejeis que os asusten, porque os diran que si pagais menos os quedara peor, vosotros teneis el poder asiq negociar!!

Desearnos suerte que la necesitaremos!!!!

Today I'm just a bit frustrated, I'm looking for a florist in Salamanca and the truth is that the prices are not reasonables at all! If usually 24 roses bouquet is 70€ why you should pay 140€? The answer is clear, because you said that it was your bridal bouquet!

I just cannot believe that because you say the word wedding or bride the suppliers multiply the prices x 2, so my wedding planner + my family + my bridesmaids and me we have decided to make the arrangements by ourselves!

Don't let the suppliers scare you with the story of that if you pay less it will look worst, you have the power to negotiate!!!

Wish us luck, we will need it!!!!

Miña terra galega

Aunque no soy gallega de nacimiento, soy gallega de corazon, ya que vivi en A Coruña durante 11 años antes de venirme a vivir a Londres. 

Mi mas sentido pesame a las familias y amigos de las victimas.

Que el Aposto Santiago cuide de ellos y reze por nosotros. 

I wasn't born in Galicia, but is is always on my heart as I lived in A Coruña for 11 years before move to London. 

I'm just full of sadness this week thinking of family and friends of the families. 

Apostle Santiago please take care of them, and pray for us. 

White tulips - Tulipanes blancos

Los tulipanes son mis flores favoritas y por eso los escogi como titulo de mi blog pero no seran las flores de mi ramo de novia por dos motivos, el primero es que regalare mi ramo a mi madre y los tulipanes son muy dificiles de secar y mantener el ramo en perfecto estado, y el segundo es que Octubre no es epoca de tulipanes. Los tulipanes estaran presentes en la boda a traves de este blog.

Mas abajo encontrareis una ideade lo que me gustaria como ramo de novia, que os parece? A que es bonito?

Tulips are my favourite flowers so far and that's why I chose as my blog's name but they won't be the flowers of my wedding bouquet for 2 reasons, the first one is that I want to give my bouquet to my mum and tulips are extremely hard to dry and keep the bouquet as it was and the second one is that October is not tulip season. The tulips will present on my wedding day through this blog.

A very special place

Cuando tuve que elegir donde y cuando celebrar la boda no lo dude ni un momento, el 12 de Octubre en el Hotel Emperatriz III http://www.emperatrizhotel.com/hotel-emperatriz-iii/  y tuve la suerte de que estaba disponible esa fecha! Mis padres se casaron tambien alli un 12 de Octubre de 1974, y tambien hemos celebrado alli bodas y comuniones a lo largo de la historia asique es un lugar muy especial para mi familia y para nosotros!

Me oireis hablar de este hotel mil veces, pero hoy quiero dejaros la foto de el maravilloso jardin en el que celebraremos la ceremonia y el cocktail, de haberlo podido construirlo desde cero no le habria cambiado ni una piedra, y lo bonito que va a quedar!!!! :)))

When i had to decide when and where to celebrate the wedding I didn't have any doubt, 12th October at Emperatriz III Hotel http://www.emperatrizhotel.com/hotel-emperatriz-iii/ and I was very lucky as the hotel was available on that date! My parents also got married there the 12th October 1974 and we have also celebrate weddings and holy communions along all these years so it is very special for my family and us!

You will hear me taking about this hotel thousand times but today I just want to leave the pictures of the beautiful garden where we will celebrate the marriage and the reception. If I had had the chance to design it from scratch I wouldn't change not even one pebble, it's going to look stunning!! :)))))

The perfect Invitation

Buscabamos algo que representara como somos, algo con colores vivos, un poco con estilo vintage y elegante. Que fuera con los colores de la ceremonia y el hotel, y no pudimos encontrarlo en el Reino Unido, ni en España pero al final lo encontramos en Polonia!! Aneta y su equipo ( http://www.dekoranet.com/) han diseñado nuestras invitaciones de boda que por fin estaran en nuestras manos la semana que viene listas para ser enviadas!! Prometo fotos!!

We were looking for something special that could represent how we are, something with bright colours, a little bit vintage style and elegant. We couldn't find it in UK or in Spain but finally we find it in Poland!! Aneta and her team ( http://www.dekoranet.com/) have designed our amazing wedding invitations that we'll be in our hands by next week ready to be sent!  I promise to upload the pictures soon!

pom poms

Mezclando colores, tamaños, texturas son preciosos e iluminan cualquier fiesta!! Quiero hacerlos yo uno por uno  asique prontito pondre un tutorial de como hacerlos! Mi idea es ponerlos colgando de los arboles y decorando el pasillo central para darle un aire romatico a la ceremonia! He cogido algunas ideas de como unos pompones pueden cambiar tanto un mismo espacio! Espero que os animeis a ponerlos vosotr@s tambien que son muy baratitos y quedan super bonitos! :)

You can mix colours, sizes and textures, they are so lovely and bright up any party! I want to make them myself one by one so soon you'll have a tutorial of how to make them!My idea is to use them to decorate the garden hanging  them from the trees and to decorate the aisle to give the ceremony a romantic touch! Below you'll find examples of how a simple pom poms can change so much the same space! Hope you use them too as they are so cheap and look super cute! :)

Obligatorio en la boda! Que levante la mano a quien le gusten los chuches! Tengo en mente personalizar mi Candy bar con las siguientes ideas gracias a mi amigo Ebay!

I must have it on my wedding! Please raise your hand If you like candy! I have in mind to personalised my Candy Bar with a few ideas thanks to my friend Ebay!

1. Candy Bar sign : Encontrareis mil opciones en Ebay, yo he escogido una opcion vintage acorde con la tematica de la boda - You'll find thousands of options, I have picked a vintage option that can match my theme:

2. Cute bags : bolsitas a conjunto con el cartel con vuestros nombres para que los invitados se puedan llevar los caramelos a la pista de baile - Bags matching your sign with your names so the guest can take the candy to the dance floor

3. Imagine & Create!: tarros de cristal como los de la mermelada (que llevamos collecionando meses!), lazos de colores y un poco de imaginacion para que se parezca a esto! - Glass jars like the ones for jam (that we have been collecting for months!), colour ribbons and a bit of imagination to make it look like this! 

F Y I: Aunque en los ejemplos predomina el rosa no es exactamente el color de la boda! Even though I have picked mostly pink examples it is not exactly the colour theme!
